Maa thawe wali's Temple is situated in between national highway running between Siwan and gopalganj,only 6 km from the Gopalganj town.Maa Thawe wali is also known as Maa durga, Maa Kaavri Khamkhya,sinhasiniBhawani,or Rhsu bhawani.

Story of maa

The main story behind Maa Thawe wali is -

In thawe place there was a devotee called Rhsu.At that time Manan Singh is the king of Thawe.He Thinks that Rhsu is fraud and there is no god.So he called Rhsu in his palace and ordered him to call his godess otherwise he won't live alive. Rhsu contemplate the king but king didnt listened to him and ordered him to call Maa. At last Rhsu called Maa. Maa starts arriving from Kamkhya,then she reached Kolkatta and after that Patna and finally she reached Thawe and she showed her hand only,and after that King and his all property vanished.from that day Maa is known as Maa thawe wali. its a great temple of Maa Aadishakti & the real story of Rahsu Bhagat, who had a power to called up to Mata at his place named Thawe.it is live example of great devotion and love.

Day of visit

On monday and friday there is lots of gathering in thawe. People from different regions comes there to workship maa and to take blessing. It is believe the maa never send anyone empty handed.Maa has always answered the prayers of her devotees.
